Definition: An article, technically an adjective, is a word used to modify a noun, which can be a person, place, object, or idea. In English, A, An, and The are called articles. In modern English grammar, they are often referred to as determiners.
Classification: There are two types of articles:
i) Definite article – The
ii) Indefinite articles – A and An
(i) Definite Article: The definite article points to a specific person, thing, or animal.

(ii) Indefinite Articles: The indefinite article refers to a non-specific person, thing, or animal.
Example: A lion lives in a forest. I saw a bird sitting on the wall.
